Member of Buckinghamshire Council

Noel and his wife have lived and worked in the Division for over 44 years. He has served on the County Council for 12 years and District and Town Councils since 1976, only standing down from District two years ago, after a final two years as Chairman. He is just finishing a year as Mayor, for the third time, so knows a good deal about the area and the problems facing all sections of our Community. He established the first Youth Council in Bucks, has been a school Governor, Chairman of Chesham Youth Club, and the CAB. He was also responsible for setting up the Chesham and Little Chalfont Revitalisation Groups.

Noel was responsible for getting the NHS to contract NHS Dentists at the Chess Surgery where he has also been involved in the County Wellbeing Project seeking join working to lift the most vulnerable out of deprivation across the whole of the County.  He has always pledged to put ‘people before politics’ and will continue to use his considerable experience to seek the best outcomes for residents in these uncertain times.

My Priorities for Bucks are:

  • Making sure we have the best education for our children at all levels of schooling.
  • To improve highways and pavements and protecting Green Belt from development.
  • Ensuring we have the best healthcare system for all our residents and a County Council more responsive to the needs of our frailer elderly pushing for more national funding.
  • Keeping communities feeling safe, whether it is from anti social behaviour or speeding, as we are in a low crime area.
  • Continuing to work with residents and the town and parish councils to make sure their concerns are heard at local or national level.

A Plan for the Next Four Years:

  1. Invest at least another £50m in improving our roads and pavements.
  2. Continue to prioritise safeguarding of vulnerable children and adults whilst providing care of our elderly who are unable to help themselves.
  3. Improve people's lives and health, working closely with our local NHS.
  4. Ensure all our children receive an excellent education.
  5. Continue to cut overheads, increase income and maintain a balanced budget.
