Fryer Close Resurfaced

Fryer Close Resurfaced!

Fryer Close in Waterside has been completely resurfaced as part of the ongoing £30 million pounds of investment into road maintenance from Bucks County Council.

County Councillor for Waterside, Noel Brown, successfully campaigned for a change in the way roads are prioritised for repair to better reflect the wishes of residents. As part of the new approach, local County Councillors have a much greater say and are able to prioritise the roads that matter most to residents in their area.

The £30 million pounds of investment into roads maintenance during 2011 – 2013 is starting to show improvements, although there remains much more to do.

More roads in Chesham are set to be resurfaced in the coming weeks including the main route through the town:

  • Waterside from the bridge to Red Lion Street
    Red Lion Street
    St Mary’s Way
    Broad Street
    Berkhampstead Road

Improving the roads is the number ONE priority for all Conservative Councillors in Chesham and they will work together, at all levels, to continue to deliver road improvements as quickly as possible.
