Steven Adams

Amersham and Chesham Bois

Steve is a graphic designer who lives in Bois Moor Road with his wife Sarah and baby daughter. He has served as a County Councillor since May 2005. Steve has an outstanding record of service to the community – he is a governor at Newtown Infants and Chesham Park Schools. He works with his family company in Chesham and often ‘donates’ work to local groups such as ‘Chesham in Bloom’ and the Pond Park Community Association, designing and writing publications for them. A keen cyclist, Steve is the County Cycling Champion and has helped raise thousands of pounds for local children’s charity PACE as well as the British Heart Foundation on sponsored bike rides.

He says: “The next few years are crucial for the county council as government support plummets further, and demand for our services soar. Making sure that local roads are improved is a priority, by getting good value for the extra millions of pounds we’ve invested in roads after a wet summer and a freezing winter. But this Labour Government has deliberately starved Buckinghamshire of funds and our roads suffer as a result.

In Chesham I successfully managed to have an extra 10 uniformed police appointed and if necessary will seek more for Amersham. Continuing to work with you to ensure that we can make our communities safer will be a top priority for me.

“Most importantly, as a councillor I am always available to you to help with any local issue you may have.”

Steve is a member of the Cabinet of the County Council responsible for The Environment having previously been responsible for Education and Skills.
