Martin Tett

It has been Martin’s privilege to serve as county councillor for the past 6 years. During that time he has:

  • Campaigned to save our libraries in St Giles and Little Chalfont
  • Opposed inappropriate development such as at the NSE and in Bell Lane
  • Opposed plans to charge for local village car parking
  • Provided funding for  youth facilities in Seer Green and Little Chalfont
  • Supported Milton’s Cottage Restoration appeal

As a Cabinet Member on the Council he has also introduced a strategy to recycle 60% of our rubbish. If re-elected he will continue to oppose loss of our Green Belt and large housing quotas from central government which are not matched by the funding for essential roads, schools, and jobs. Bucks is a beautiful and successful county-Martin is determined to keep it that way!

He is currently a Governor at Bell Lane Primary and Dr Challoner’s Grammar School.

Martin was elected Leader of the County Council in May 2011.
